Description

The iconic Sunflower Galaxy is always a treat to image.

For those using the Aluma AC4040 Camera, this image was taken in high stack pro mode with 20sec sub images across the exposure time. While the LRGB images had some residual fixed pattern noise (caused by the residual bulk image - RBI- afterglow) , I was able to manage this noise into the background with stretching using Generalized Hyperbolic Stretch. I also decided to image both the flats and lights at higher temperatures (10C and 0C, respectively) hoping thermal dissipation of RBI would help. No quantitative conclusion on using higher imaging temperatures yet, but you might give it a try.

Comments and discussion always welcome.
